I really love living in Colorado and there is no beating Colorado summers. No matter how warm, okay sometimes hot, it gets you can always rely on a cool evening. Which is probably where I get my fondness for jackets, wraps and cardigans. And this season all 3 are in style! We also need to protect our skin in the sun so either apply and reapply that sunscreen or layer with a light jacket. As I was reading through my past posts I noticed I was so focused on my weight loss. And that is such a small portion of my life. Walt and I are still on our plan to be at a healthy weight, every week I will post our (hopeful) loss, I just am not going to consistently blog about it every time, unless I have a real light bulb moment. Like most small towns we have a central focused annual celebration. In our town it is Strawberry Days. There will be a carnival, carnival food, craft booths and lots of socialization. All the service clubs, I belong to Kiwanis, will be out in full force. It will be a very busy weekend, but very enjoyable. It culminates with Father's Day. Here is wishing all Father's an enjoyable day, hopefully spent with family. I will go down to the park and get my traditional carny dinner of a Gyro, yeah doesn't really sound like carnival food, but its about the only place you can get a good one in our town. Good carnival food? Is that an oxymoron?
